I recently discovered that Morris Book Publishing's Insiders' Guide has a "Disaster Series." I stumbled across Oregon Disasters a while back and just recently found Washington Disasters. Each book is written by resident(s) of that particular state and is subtitled "True Stories of Tragedy and Survival." Each has a number of photos and follows the same format. Originally from Washington and now a resident of Oregon, I read these books to see what they had to say about disasters with which I was already familiar; in doing so, I discovered some that I was not aware of. For the disaster junkie I have become lately, it was sort of like an ice cream cone with two scoops! Here is my review of Oregon Disasters.
