Interests

Writer Wannabee is a person of many interests. There are many people who know a lot about just one thing and other people who know a little about a lot of things. I fall somewhere in the middle. I find life more interesting when my eggs are not all in one basket, and I love the feeling of connection when that happens. Some of my interests are: reading, architecture (especially Frank Lloyd Wright), lighthouses, photography, postcard collecting, Jimmy Buffett’s music, baseball (watching), trains and railroads, Lewis & Clark, history of the Pacific Northwest & the Western United States, nautical/maritime subjects, traveling in the Pacific Northwest & Western United States. Writers I especially like: Floyd Skloot, Richard Bode, Terry Pindell, Stephen Ambrose, Michael Pollan, Joan Druett, Witold Rybczynski, Joe Bailey, Robert Michael Pyle, Dennis Powers, John Daniel, and Bill Bryson.
